Free event at Century Village, Fryer Park. Re-enactment groups display life during the great American Revolution through the Civil War. Experience the frontier life and military conflicts that made this country great. Hands-on activities for children.

Fryer Flicks on the Hill
The annual outdoor movie series is held from June until beginning of August.  Each Thursday, a free, family-friendly movie will be shown at Fryer Park.  Be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Attendees may bring snacks (no glass), and concessions will be sold. Cancellation information the day of the event will be available at

Summer Sizzle Concert Series
Stop by the Town Center on Friday and Saturday evenings this summer, June until August, for live music and free entertainment at the Summer Sizzle Concert Series. A wide variety of music styles makes this series a unique, fun summer tradition for all. Family-Fun Friday night concerts offer free children’s activities and Saturday Nights in the Grove showcase local artists. Check our calendar for specific dates and band schedules.

 


  

July

Amazing Grove City Race
Gather a team, put on your running shoes and sample a variety of Grove City experiences while competing in the annual Amazing “Grove City” Race. Teams will travel around the city, following clues and completing challenges to vie for Grove City bragging rights.

Farmers Market
Every Saturday from July until September, area farmers partner with the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce to bring the best of summer’s harvest to Grove City’s Town Center. Local vendors will be on-hand, rain or shine, to display and sell their produce, flowers and baked goods. Check our calendar for specific dates.

Blast at Beulah
Grove City will host one of central Ohio's most impressive Independence Day celebrations. Experience plenty of family fun including live entertainment, fireworks display and children's activities. Walk-in admission is free, but there is a $5 fee to park in the Beulah parking lot. 

Grove City Garden Tour
Join us for the annual Jo Bostic Memorial Garden Tour. Tour a variety of private gardens throughout Grove City and Jackson Township. For additional information, call (614) 277-3050.


Homecoming Celebration
Grove City Homecoming Celebration held in the Town Center, at the corner of Park Street and Broadway. All are welcome to this celebration, especially alumni of Grove City and Central Crossing high schools. Live entertainment. 

Alumni Softball Tournament
The Grove City High School Alumni Tournament returns to Grove City the last weekend in July each year. Over 90 teams representing five decades of GCHS graduates compete for bragging rights in six divisions.

Balloons & Tunes
Balloons & Tunes is Grove City's annual hot air balloon festival. Members of the Central Ohio Balloon Club will provide the opportunity to learn about hot air ballooning. Tethered balloon rides, glows and ascensions are all scheduled, weather permitting. No tailgating or coolers will be permitted.

 


 

September

Arts in the Alley
The annual Arts in the Alley festival celebrates a full gamut of artistic expression. Featuring juried artists and craft vendors, musical performances, art shows (five exhibitions highlight crafts, fine arts, photography, quilt and youth art) and a community parade. The Community Parade takes off in the morning at Southwest Boulevard, and proceeds down Broadway, turns onto Columbus Street and winds down at Wilbur Avenue. Children age 10 and younger are encouraged to visit the free Kids Fun Street and to participate in craft making throughout the weekend.

Rotary Cruise & Ride
The Rotary Club of Grove City is proud to host the annual Cruise & Ride in the Grove City Town Center. More than 250 classic cars and motorcycles are expected to register.


World of WondersWorld of Wonders

Don’t miss this Natural History Exhibit, Sept. 1-29, 2012, at the Grove City Welcome Center and Museum, 3378 Park St., in the Grove City Town Center. The Welcome Center is located just two miles south of I-270, Exit 2. The month-long exhibit features North American and South American Native American artifacts including an extensive collection of stone tools, weapons, arrowheads, pottery and other hand crafted items. This is a great opportunity to see this huge private collection which is being shared with the public for the very first time. The Welcome Center and Museum will be open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon. There is no admission to view the exhibit and there is plenty 
                             of free parking. A limited number of collectibles will be offered for sale.

 


 

October

Old Time Harvest Day
Old-Time Harvest Day in Grove City will give today’s generation a look into the past at historical Century Village, 4185 Orders Road. The City of Grove City and the Southwest Franklin County Historical Society collaborate annually to organize this fun, free and educational event for the community. Demonstrations such as leather tooling, soap making, blacksmithing, butter churning and two-man sawing will be presented throughout the day along with period-appropriate harp and dulcimer performances. Most activities are hands-on and appropriate for all ages. Children will also have the opportunity to make crafts and learn old fashion games. Concessions will be available. Century Village, located at Fryer Park, represents the initial stage of development for a typical central Ohio community in the 1850’s and features a one room school, outhouse, windmill, log cabin and barn.

Fall Harvest Market 

The first 3 Saturday's of October. Shop the market for fruits, vegetables, gourds, pumpkins, baked goods, handmade arts and crafts, plants, flowers and more. This event is sponsored by the Grove City Community Club and is located in the Town Center.

 Boo on Broadway
Halloween is best celebrated in Grove City's Town Center. Every Oct. 31, children can trick or treat safely and in a friendly environment, dress in costume, and collect candy and other goodies from area business owners. A fortune teller and other spooky surprises will also be offered.

 


 

November

Holiday Craft Bazaar
The annual craft show is held each year at the Evans Center in Grove City. Browse a wide variety of craft vendors and enjoy homemade soup, sandwiches and pizza. Some of the best bakers in Grove City will be selling their homemade creations. For more information, call (614) 277-1060.

 


 

December 

Winter Lights 
The City of Grove City's annual Winter Lights Christmas Celebration will embody the excitement, tradition and spirit of giving associated with the holiday season. Activities will include a merchant window decorating contest and a holiday parade in the evening as well as live musical performances, free horse-drawn carriage rides and pictures with Santa Claus. See live reindeer and watch ice sculpting.
